The Teddy Bear Art Museum project in Billund had two main issues to pursue. Respect for the original story of the old building, and at the same time change it and recreate it as a modern museum with a new story.
A project like this demands a high quality of craftsmanship. As well as renovating the building we constructed special designed cabinets and displays.
We always enjoy projects like this, and it is an honor for us to work with the design team and create unique solutions
Throughout the renovation the focus was on recycling as much of the original materials as possible. This was done in close cooperation with the design team in charge of the new museum. As an example, the beautiful teak floor boards from the former atrium was converted to new countertops.
As dedicated and skilled craftsmen it is wonderful to see almost 60 year old building materials recycled and converted into a new setting.
